A.B.Lambert (1761-1842) was a British botanist, one of the first fellows of the Linnean Society. The present work serves as a kind of supplement to his earlier published work on the same subject 'A description of the genus Cinchona' published in 1797. Lambert assembled one of the largest herbaria of his time which attracted visitors from many countries. The upper margin of about the first 30 leaves with brown spot.
