A complete copy has 4 section titles and 18 plates. We have 2 section titles and 14 plates. The complete first and second section and part of the third one. Very scarce series of engravings dedicated to "Mademoiselle de Rochemore". Tieme-Bekker notes only 3 parts with 18 plates. This is a very fine series of floral engravings in the style of Spaendonck, Redouté, Bessa, etc. Benoit Louis Prevost (1747-1804) engraver, etcher, and draughtman, was known for a number of collections of separately issued plates on flowers. The most well-known of his works is the 1765 frontispiece of the 'Encyclopédie, edited by Denis Diderot' depicting 'La raison et la Philosophie arrachant son voile à la Vérité rayonnante de lumière" .
