This is the first of three parts on the terrestrial shells of the Blue River valley in China, the complete work comprises 31 plates. The work is part of 'Mémoires concernant l'histoire naturelle de l'empire Chinois' published by the Jesuits and printed in China. Father P.M. Heude is best known for his 'Conchyliologie fluviatile de la Provence de Nankin'.
