First French edition, translated and enlarged with notes by the Dutch entomologist Pieter Lyonnet, who also drew the 2 plates for this edition. The three German editions were not illustrated. Christian Friederich Lesser (1695-1754) was a German naturalist and clergyman. The first German edition was published in 1738.
