"Second edition; the first was published in 1676 in broadsheets, with 39 engraved plates by Nicolas Robert and was divided into 'Projet de l'Histoire des Plantes' and 'Descriptions de Quelques Plantes Nouvelles', the plates appearing in the latter half of the book. This second edition contains only the 'Projet' (Hunt 598).
